Keith Swanson- Owner/Instructor At the Las Vegas Convention Center
I have been working as Public Safety Officer and involved in ATA Martial Arts since 1997. I received my First Degree Blackbelt in March of 1999 from Larners Black Belt Academy in Belding, Michigan. I trained under Mark and Monica Larner until the summer of 2001. I then got out of taekwondo for a few years.
In 2006, I resumed my training at Larners' Black Belt Academy. This time with my 5 year old son. I continued until Mr.Larner retired in the summer of 2007. Then I began training at Flees' ATA Martial Arts in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I began the Leadership program and started training under Third Degree Dwayne Flees. There I acheived the rank of Second Degree Black Belt. After about six months, I was given the opportuntiy to purchase Larners' Black Belt Academy. I continued my training and worked with ATA and my instructor Mr.Duane Flees at Flees ATA Martial Arts to open my own school.
I am happy to be able to bring Songahm Taekwondo back to the Belding area. In addition we provide PPCT training. I am certified instructor for PPCT, Spontaneous Knife Self Defense, and G.A.G.E. Ground Avoidance Ground Control. I also like to teach basic Mixed Martial Arts and Jujitsu.
